This route by far, is one of the most impressive in our opinion – and we KNOW road trips. The route along the country’s south coast is exciting thanks largely to the plains that snake from Adelaide to Perth. The region is one of the country’s best places for stargazing and is among the classic Australian outback drives.

Nullarbor Plain for example, is a vast landscape and has one of the mist rugged environments in Australia. In fact, there are hundreds of kilometres where you won’t come across a single building or human being. Clearly, this route is not for the faint of heart – or easily bored.
